The goal of this program is the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to work as a hairdresser and enter the workforce. The student will learn skills such as: hair and scalp washing and treatment, hair braiding and shaping, cutting men's and women's hair, the use of clippers and shavers, perming, and hair coloring.

The student will be able to create a hairstyle personalized to the client. The student must learn how to communicate with the clientele and advise him or her on products and services appropriate to their hair and style.
