Masons learn how to lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other materials to repair walls, build arches, chimneys, rooms, and other workers following specific plans. After their training some of these students find work at construction sites and others start their own business in brick laying.

Masonry students must learn how to cut materials and lay bricks, concrete blocks etc. They also learn to work with prefabricated architectural components, prepare mortar, create joints, create foundations, and read plans and calculate measurements.
